I believe I've read it several times and am working to implement the concepts to grow our brands to a higher level of Customer Service in order to continue to differentiate our offerings - both through SECCO Home Services, Pronto Plumbing & Drain & our Commercial Electrical Construction & Service, and finally for our SECCO HVACR Service Business.This book is a great way to get the leadership team on the same page and forging forward with energy!Amazing book, amazing process!

Learned of this book indirectly from a friend and decided to read it to see what he thought was so special. Gotta say, Mr. Wickman has a solid grip himself on what it takes to facilitate the leadership of a company. His overall framework is excellent, and the tools he has developed are just what a business needs to use in order to run as smoothly as a well-oiled machine. Even though there is some redundancy throughout the book, it works well because it transports the reader into the room with the participants he is writing about. I've already given copies of this to two other people - but I kept my own for future reference.

I strongly recommend you get this book and read it 1st if you are interested in the EOS system, as outlined in the book "Traction". This book is basically a story of a business that implements the steps in the book Traction. Traction is a little confusing and reading how a company has gone through the process, while encountering common problems, is extremely helpful. Many of what most business owners struggle with including personality conflicts, being too busy to implement ideas, or not knowing what type of ideas to implement to make your business run smoother and more profitably are discussed in this book. I highly recommend you read this book and also "Traction" if you need ideas on having your business run well.

If you haven't read traction, read that first, followed by Get a Grip and lastly, Rocket Fuel. In Get A Grip, Gino brilliantly demonstrates the power of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) at work. I was expecting a calendar with pictures of places around the world. But many of the pictures are of animals, or local foods (like a pizza), or spices or fruits in a market, people surfing or swimming, just a sign with kangaroo crossing (that's Australia). Disappointed. I thought I can visually travel the world.

This daily calendar is a perfect way to add to your travel bucket list or to fondly remember places you've already visited. This is my third year buying this calendar and it is a Must Have. Every year highlights different places and the removable pages make a perfect reminder of trips you need to plan. While the daily calendar is very affordable and adds joy to my morning routine, my travel budget is certainly taking a hit!

I'm obviously only into January on this, but I love this calendar! I save all the days of the places I want to visit and tuck them away in an envelope. My husband basically wants to kill me bc of this calendar, but I love it! hahah

An interesting calendar with a different image each day. Colorful places that appeal to those interested in learning more about the geographic and cultural world. Makes a friendly and long-lasting gift at a moderate price

Each weekend both Sat & Sun are on 1 page which is a bit disappointing. Some of the locations in the calendar were quite underwhelming, but it is interesting to learn about a new place each day.

The gift that keeps on giving. Gave it to a co-worker who I talk about traveling a lot with. She loved it and gets to use it every day of the year.

Can't wait to start checking them off or putting them up on a wall as an idea board. Beautiful pictures and ideas from all around the world.

Some of the stories in the book moved me to tears. It is well-written and covers the journey of 'Abdu'l-Baha through the United States in 1912 - exactly 100 years ago. Organized in chronological order, also covers some of the time 'Abdu'l-Baha spent in Europe. I couldn't put it down!

I enjoyed this sharing of stories about the beloved Master, 'Abdu-l-Baha, from those who met Him during His travels to the West in 1912-13 after years of imprisonment under the Ottomans.

Some interesting information about 'Abdu'l-Baha that is not found readily elsewhere. Similar to Earl's other book. The writing style is adequate, but not exceptional.

Redman knows how to write! Highly recommended.

A wonderful describtion of a historic journey in the West by a unique man from the East. To follow 'Abdu'l-Báha through the eyes of those close to him was like joining the journey. Amazing story for any one to read.

I really liked this travelogue. The author starts north in Torino and moves south geographically instead of her actual chronology. She is very descriptive and tells some stories about their travels in many cases but in some instance just lists restaurant and places to go. I would have like more detail in those spots. I like that she has added recipes and plan on trying a few. This book makes me want to get online and book a trip right now. I also like that she included links to reading material related to the place so that I can get further information on interesting topics. However, I have two major gripes with this book. The first is a lack of a map of any kind. I know, I can go to google maps and look something up but it is tedious, time consuming and breaks the flow of the book. The second is a lack of photos. I wanted photos of some of the specific places or foods she talked about but I also wanted pictures of the finished product in the recipes. When she described an egg stall at a market, I wanted to see the multishaped, multicolored eggs. When she described a carved, green marble ambo in a church, I wanted to see it. This book would have been much more powerful and interesting with photos. I think these are major flaws that hopefully will be fixed by publication. I’ll give it three stars now but would give it four of five if maps and photos are added. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

4.5 starsMayes brings her delectable writing style to the pages of this travelogue/memoir/guide for all of us who wish we could take two weeks to walk in her shoes. Italy isn't just a place but an attitude and way of living, something Mayes makes clear through gently describing the distinctions between one little town and another.This is not a book you pick up with your map in hand to help you plan your trip to Italy so much as it is like a first date (or first date in a long time) with the Italian way to spend your day. Yes, she has the book organized in such a way that you could look up the province and town you want to visit to see her recommendations. However, she doesn't cover every little town (nor should she, as this isn't Frommer's) and she presents them in a well-organized tapestry of anecdotes of her experiences there. Mayes implies so much about what it means to be Italian and live like one without having to hold your hand to communicate it.Read it because I have a feeling you'll learn how to appreciate Italy after you travel through it with her. Perhaps you'll even find a way to sit in a cafe around your own corner and ponder with peaceful quiet the way she can in Italy. You'll get both story and guide in this book. Thank you, Frances Mayes! Now I'm saving up for another trip to Italy!

It’s a wonderful book for anyone who has visited Italy or contemplates a trip in the future. And, be sure to have a map handy so you can visual the areas and plan your own adventures. I was super lucky to get an ARC ...not sure if this was a Goodreads giveaway or? no literature was in the book when i got it shipped to me??! love that when that happens but wish i knew who to thank??! thanks!! i love cooking, recipes ... i would love to see Italy and Australia ...yet to get to travel overseas. we have many locations in the US and Canada. so it was like this book was meant for me ... to tide me over a bit ..while i wait to see Italy ... i know i am part Italian ... i just gotta be ...not that i have been told so but i feel it. lol! no clue. just wish i was. i am not the only one to feel it was really a great trip to Italy ... like u were there ... will they make it a movie?

Frances Mayes is a marvelous writer. She brings the essence of Italy to armchair travelers. I enjoyed reading her prose.However, this is mostly a reference book for travelers wanting to get off the beaten trail in Italy. If you were to go to these places, this book would be invaluable in finding terrific places to eat and unusual but wonderful places to visit. She takes her husband and grandson along for her trip to give a couple of other perspectives and cover other interests than her own.Five stars for the prose, three stars for lack of a story that Mayes usually does so well, splitting the middle with four stars.

Frances Mayes' writing transports me. It's impossible to read her work without realizing she's a poet. It's also impossible to read her work and not want to start planning your trip to Italy ASAP. I loved this book as much as I''ve loved ever other thing written by the amazing Ms. Mayes, and I've read every word. Thank You!

This book is like a blog put into book form.Content: very little that isn't container and soil based. If you're looking for info on the felt and staple method, this isn't for you. Most of the information you could find on Pinterest. A bit pseudoscience-y (eg "herbs that stimulate healing" section) and off-topic (multiple paragraphs on trash management to justify the "joys of upcycling").Photos: not sure why these are getting rave reviews. They're nothing special. The quantity of photos with the author smiling in front of her creations make it feel unprofessional and more like a blog.

This is really chock full of different ideas for ATTRACTIVE vertical gardens. I like that Coronado has listed the plants for each of the gardens AND explains how each garden should be planted. The very precise and well-illustrated how-tos on constructing/creating each garden container are also wonderful. About my only complaint is that there is no growing zone information for the suggested plants, but that's a not-to-difficult extra step in planning any garden.

This ebook enabled me to get my container and vertical wall up and running quickly.. the information was invaluable.

I Loved It! After meeting Shawna at Alsip Nursery and listening to her presentation could not wait to read this book. It was everything I needed to plan my living wall and more. It gives you foolproof instructions on how to build, plant, and care for your wall. Plus some tasty tips on uses of some of the plants.
