I don't read a lot of memoir, but I'm glad I read Flores's story. She's unflinchingly honest about her own shortcomings and pulls no punches with respect to her chaotic family. Navigating the turbulent waters of divorce is painful for everyone, and more especially when there's infidelity. This is not a feel-good happy-face memoir, but in the end it's uplifting, and even the more difficult moments are inspiring, as Flores finds sources of strength and wisdom.
I couldn’t put down this brutally honest, relatable page-turner of a memoir about a fascinating woman navigating marriage, kids, mental health, childhood memories, infidelity, separation, aging parents & so much more! I loved the language & descriptions; I identified with so much of this very real & poignant story. Already friends are asking to borrow it since I recommended it so highly.
