I had seen the author's work online and was struck by how unusual it was compared to the weaving found in books I've seen. I hoped that her book would give some real guidance in how to achieve similar results. But I'm very disappointed. The book is inexpensive but it isn't really worth the price because there is very little content. It is very short and over one-third of the pages are photos with no text. It took me about 15 minutes to read. If you are interested in the story of this author's own journey in fiber arts and want to see photos of her work (which you can find on her website for free), then you might like it. But if you are looking for instruction, take the author's own advice and look on youtube.
This is a beautiful book that details how to get from fiber to wearable clothes. Just enough information to get me headed in the right direction. Thank you so much for this book. I love it.
I’m sitting at work and wanting to run out and drive home to my loom, that’s how inspiring this book is! All the photographs are GORGEOUS!I’ve seen Alison’s work online in a Saori group, been enthralled with the joyous colors and the freedom of her weaving, and wondered how she does it. How generous of her to share her thoughts and her own inspiration! I’m so glad I heard about this wonderful book.
Alison has an artistic sense to her weaving. I love her ideas and am excited to incorporate her method. She shares her ideas in a friendly manner and I am happy with her book.
This book hit the mark for me because sometimes we need permission to free ourselves from the usual. I am a rule breaker and love to see others unusual vision. This book has a kaleidoscope of color combinations you will love. I love how Alison shared her journey so that I can appreciate my own individual growth.

Alison Crosthwaite's writing is clear and easy to understand. Her photos are amazing; so is her weaving. This is a must-have book for any weaver.
Disappointing. Very Short book for the price. Poor value. Contains typo's. Photos good quality but of limited value. Would not buy if I knew how poor the content was.
